Authentic Leadership Through Recognition with Sarah McVanel

Authentic Leadership Through Recognition with Roxanne Derhodge and Sarah McVanel

Recognition Quote: “When people are struggling, that is when we need to put them first and the task list has to come second.  That’s what we’re seeing right now, that’s the latest trend.” Sarah McVanel

Sarah has been an integral part of both my business and my book. She’s one of my business coaches as well as the facilitator for her writing group where I did most of the writing for my my soon-to-be-released book, ROR, Return on Relationships, Amplify Your Authentic Leadership to Build More Resilient Teams. Sarah is Canada’s Recognition Expert and as my book launch is fast approaching, I wanted to reintroduce you to Sarah and the conversation we had about how recognition helps to create a more authentic leader and provides a better connection to their team.

Creating a work environment where people feel appreciated and can connect with their leadership is of the utmost importance at this time.  When so many people have been fighting through the pressures of the pandemic and working through really tough circumstances, we must make sure that they know their efforts are valued and recognized. On this episode of Authentic Living with Roxanne we welcome back Canada’s Recognition Expert, Sarah McVanel to share her thoughts about how you can ensure your team is getting what they need to feel the gratitude that they so richly deserve.

Sarah gave us so much great information that we are splitting this into a two-part series, so be sure to tune in again next week for Part II.

Sarah is a Certified Senior Organizational Development Professional (CSODP), Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL).
